Spelling instruction is crucial for improving literacy and has impacts on writing accuracy, phonological awareness, and reading skills among students (Graham & Satangelo, 2014; Stuart,1999; Vaughn et al., 2006). Research suggests that explicit instruction in letter-sound correspondence and phonemic awareness significantly enhances spelling and reading outcomes for bilingual students as well (Graham & Santangelo, 2014; Lin, 2013; Stuart, 1999; Weiser & Mathes, 2011).
